Bracket Notes: Obviously, some scenes depend a lot on the context of the rest of the movie for their full effect, so please keep that in mind. For example, the ending of Eureka is all the more striking if you’ve experienced 3 hours of black and white mood prior. I excluded some great scenes that really depend on duration for effect like the dinner party in 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days or the last shot of Edge of Heaven because without the rest of the movie, they seem kind of boring. I also left out the climax of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer because I don’t think a lot of people have seen the movie and it spoils the movie to a degree not applicable to the rest of these clips. I really regret not being able to find a subtitled clip for Y tu mamá también because that scene is just hilarious with understandable dialogue.
